Man United win 2:1 at local charity event.

ITEC learning Technologies staged a Charity Football match 25th September where the Apprentices, ITEC Rovers, took on their Line Managers, Managers United.

To celebrate 30 years serving the local community in delivering apprenticeships in IT, Business Administration and, more recently, Social Media and Digital Marketing, ITEC have been holding a series of fund raising events for three worthy local causes; The Indee Rose Trust, Be Child Cancer Aware and The Hamelin Trust.

The charity football match was held at the Bowers and Pitsea Football Club where the two teams came face to face in an exciting, edge-of-the-seat competition. Matt Bentley scored the first goal for the Managers from a rebound from the penalty spot, Cameron Christall the equalised for ITEC Rovers just before half time. The game was decided by a terrific second half goal from Matt Bentley to ensure victory for the managers.

All concerned had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and are already talking about a re-match, same time, next year. The event raised £1123.47 for the three charities, bringing the ITEC’s 2014 fund raising year total to £2806.37 so far, with further fund-raising activities planned through to April 2015.
